Bad Loans Resolution Strategy and Impact on Financial Performance at Bank Sulteng Buol Branch

Abstract

 This study aims to determine and analyze how the Bad Loans Settlement Strategy and the Impact on Financial Performance at Bank Sulteng Buol Branch. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research design. Sources of data in the form of primary data, namely data obtained through interviews, as well as documentation related to this research. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data display, and data verification, triangulation technique. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the problem that is often faced by the banking world in general is the problem of bad or non-performing loans. Likewise experienced by Bank Sulteng Buol Branch, where the factors that led to the occurrence of non-performing loans include the inadequacy of the debtor, as for the debtor who experienced other unexpected disasters, so that the debtor experienced bad credit. As a result of these bad loans, it can have an impact on the financial performance of the bank, by increasing the level of NPL which will disrupt the health of the Bank so that cash flow will be hampered if it is not resolved immediately. Then, in this case, Bank Sulteng Buol Branch has completed and rescued credit by means of credit restructuring and rescheduling in accordance with the procedures and policies set by the bank's internal and banking regulations.
