Abstract

We can access information easily nowadays. There are many platforms that provide us to find this information. As well as social media which also has many varieties. A global issue regarding environmental literacy emerged and became a worldwide problem. Environmental literacy contains the ability of individuals to understand and interpret environmental conditions and then decide the next action whether to protect, preserve, restore or even the opposite. Social media is a tool that can provide environmental literacy for various levels of society. The Pandawara Group is one of the accounts on social media that contains 5 young people from Bandung who campaign for the importance of protecting the environment as well as cleaning up garbage. Pandawara, which successfully utilizes social media, can mobilize environmental awareness in other social media accounts, including students of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Because more and more people are involved and affected by Pandawara's discussions and actions, the greater the impact in protecting the environment. This study explains the influence of Pandawa Group on social media on environmental hygiene literacy at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach method with literature review. The results of this study indicate that the Pandawara Group has a great positive influence among students so that it can inspire.
